## What you can practice

The hiragana practice page selects every available hiragana group by default:

- The 46 basic hiragana, beginning with the vowel and main consonant rows.
- Dakuten and handakuten sounds such as が, ざ, だ, ば, and ぱ.
- Yōon combinations such as きゃ, しゅ, ちょ, にゃ, りょ, and ぴゅ.

Learners can switch between Basic, Dakuten, and Yōon to focus the visible character table, select or remove individual groups, choose a random run, and limit a session to 10, 20, 50, 100, or all selected characters.

## Quiz modes

- Standard: type the romaji for each hiragana character. Missed characters return to the deck.
- Time Attack: begin with 60 seconds and gain two seconds for every correct answer.
- Multiple Choice: read a romaji prompt and choose the matching hiragana.
- Sudden Death: the first incorrect answer ends the session.

## Recommended learning order

Start with the basic vowel row, then add one consonant row at a time. Once the 46 basic hiragana feel familiar, practice dakuten and handakuten. Add yōon combinations last. Use Multiple Choice while forms are new, Standard for deliberate recall, and Time Attack only after accuracy becomes consistent.
